In normal circumstances many of us would be preparing for our annual DoctorsUpdates multidisciplinary conference in Val d’Isere which was planned for 1-4 February this year.
It would have been our 32nd edition but instead, we have to combat the peak of another wave of Covid 19 infections. It is difficult to comprehend that we have been living and trying to combat this virus for a year now and we are still far from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
In view of the current situation, we have decided to bring to you a virtual, online Val d’Isere, in exactly two weeks from now. It will examine recent multidisciplinary developments in combating COVID-19, its clinical implications and the latest evidence and the impact on the frontline healthcare professionals.
Using short presentations and interviews with acknowledged experts, we will cover many aspects of COVID-19. In the spirit of ‘broaden your horizons’ we will finish off with a non-medical talk, by the IBM Chief Technology Officer.
